Dr. Sonya C. Faircloth has been in practice with Dr. Rubin in the Richmond metropolitan area for more than 20 years. She is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is also a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Dr. Faircloth received her undergraduate degree at Virginia Commonwealth University and her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric in 1992. Dr. Faircloth completed a surgical residency at Genessee Memorial Regional Hospital in Flint, Michigan where she was the chief resident. Her residency experience included specialized surgical training in the foot and ankle as well as specialized training in management and treatment of the diabetic foot.
Dr. Faircloth’s hospital affiliations include the Bon Secours Richmond and HCA Richmond hospital networks. She also holds a position as a treating physician at the Wound Care Center located at Memorial Regional Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Faircloth, as well as her partners, has a special interest in limb salvage and preservation of the Diabetic Foot.
An avid runner, Dr. Faircloth also uses her expertise in the treatment and prevention of various sport related injuries of the foot and ankle.
